Set up your pharmacy
Enter your drug licences and pharmacists, and choose what the POS asks for when it sells a scheduled medicine. In the menu, under Setup, click Settings, then Pharmacy. It is there when your kind of shop is a pharmacy, or when you tick Medicines under Also sells in Kind of shop & POS.
Drug licences
- Under Drug licences, enter Form 20B, Form 21B and Valid until.
- Click Save licences.
They print on the H1 register.
Pharmacists
- Click Add pharmacist.
- Enter the Name and Registration number. Add a Shift if you want to, like Mornings.
- Under Signs in here as, select their staff account. Their PIN then signs Schedule H1 sales.
- Click Add.
What the POS asks for
- Ask for a prescription for Schedule H: the patient, the doctor and their registration number, at Pay.
- Schedule H1: the patient's address and a photo: always on. The H1 register needs both.
- Ask for a photo for Schedule H too: optional. Takes a few seconds more at Pay.
- Sell single tablets from a strip: the starting choice for new medicines. Change it on each medicine.
Usual discount off MRP
Under Given to, select the price list your regular customers are on, and enter the Discount. Changing it here changes that price list at every shop that uses it. No price list yet? Create one first in Catalogue › Price lists.
Orders from WhatsApp
On an Android phone, staff can share a customer's WhatsApp message or photo into the POS. With MSG91 connected, click Make the inbound address and set it as the inbound webhook for the shop's number in MSG91. Keep the address private.
Good to know
- Read prescription photos sends photos to an outside service to be read. Prescriptions are health information, so get the customer's consent. The pharmacist still checks every line.
