Offers, weighed goods and packs

Run offers without the cashier doing anything, sell loose goods by weight, and sell or buy in packs.

Offers

Create offers in the back office under Offers. The POS applies them by itself.

  • Buy X get Y: free or at a % off. Buy 2 get 1 free.
  • Combo price: items together for one price. Coffee + croissant for ₹149.
  • % or ₹ off an item or a whole category. 10% off dairy.
  • Quantity price: 2 kg sugar for ₹80.
  • Bill offer: ₹ or % off a bill over an amount, or ₹ off for every amount spent. ₹100 off for every ₹1,000: a ₹5,200 bill gets ₹500 off.

Each offer can run between two dates, on chosen days and between chosen hours, with a limit per bill. Save it as a draft to get it ready in advance.

At the POS

  • Each item gets the offer that saves the customer most.
  • A cashier can still give a discount on top, within their discount limit.
  • When the customer is close to an offer, the POS says so, for example Add 1 more: Buy 2 get 1 free.
  • The bill and the receipt show each offer and what it saved.

On the customer display. Turn on Show on the customer display for an offer and add a short message. While the offer is running, the display shows it, one offer at a time.

The Offers page shows how many bills each offer was used on this month and how much it gave away.

Weighed goods

  • In Products, set How it's sold to weight (kg), volume (L) or length (m). Price and stock are then per kg, L or m.
  • At the POS, enter the weight in kg or g, or the amount in ₹, for example ₹50 worth.
  • Scale labels. If your weighing scale prints barcode labels, scan them at the POS. Set it up in Settings › Scale labels and give each product its scale code.

Packs

  • Add packs to a product, for example a Tray of 30 eggs, with its own price and barcode.
  • Sell a pack at the POS, or buy one on a purchase bill, for example a 25 kg sack.
  • Stock is always counted in single units, kg, L or m.
  • Packs are not included in offers.

Good to know

  • GSTR-1 shows each item's unit: KGS, LTR, MTR or NOS.
  • Only Admins and Managers can create or change offers.
